Experience Community

One of the biggest challenges for an individual with ID or DD is community integration. At Northbridge we are committed to working with other local groups to provide a safe community setting that gives our clients a sense of well being and belonging that all people deserve. Activities include gym classes and memberships, bingo and game nights, and company-wide get-togethers.

In addition to group activities, our staff members are trained and encouraged to participate in community activities with our clients. Role-modeling in a public situation, such as grocery shopping or gym class, helps to safely integrate individuals in a positive manner – encouraging them to use their own communication and social skills.
